How can I delete my Mailbox?

Before you consider to delete your email address, we recommend that you backup up mailbox locally on your computer. The best way to achieve that is to connect your mailbox via IMAP and copy all emails and mail folders to your local mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.).

Use the following IMAP settings to connect:
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.openxchange.eu
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.openxchange.eu

We recommend you use the following ports and encryption methods to connect to the mail servers:
IMAP: 993 SSL
SMTP: 587 TLS

Follow the steps below to delete your mailbox:

  1. Log in to your Octopoly account and go to PRODUCTS > EMAIL.
  2. Hover over the concerned domain and click on VIEW and then on MANAGE.
  3. At the bottom of the page click on DELETE THIS EMAIL ACCOUNT.
  4. Confirm by clicking on the YES in the pop-up window.

Please note that deleting your mailbox means that you will lose all data, emails and services that are associated with this account.
